For young adults · Young Adult Health

Your twenties are the head start. Build on them.

Young Adult Health is a plan in My Lifestyle Hub for adults in their late teens and twenties (18 and over). It looks at ten foundations that pay back for decades, from bone, strength and fitness to sleep, cooking, mood and connection, scored by you, and turns them into goals in your own words and a check-in each day.

Ten foundations that pay back for decades, scored by you and turned into your own goals and a daily check-in. For 18 and over.

Not another health app: one ecosystem for your plans, your twin and your day.

Mia, 22, and her Lifestyle Hub are a sample, not a real person.

Your plans, around you

One plan for the long run.

Mia made Young Adult Health herself, beside Health Optimisation, which is free, and Sleep Optimisation. Each looks at ten of her habits, scored by her, with the research behind every one.

  • Young Adult HealthPrevention · made by you, day 8 of check-ins
  • Health OptimisationLifestyle · free, day 8 of check-ins
  • Sleep OptimisationLifestyle · made by you, day 8 of check-ins

Your plan, close up

Goals in your own words.

It starts with what’s easiest to build now and hardest to build later: bone and muscle while they respond most, fitness, a steady sleep rhythm and real cooking skills. You set the goals; the check-ins come from them.

  • Do two strength sessions a week
  • Cook three proper dinners a week
  • Wear SPF 30 every day this summer

Every day

Six pillars, and a check-in each day.

Move, eat, sleep, mind, substances and social, from your own Health Optimisation check: about your habits, never a score of your health. Each day, how you are and a question for each, in a few taps.

  • Move
  • Eat
  • Sleep
  • Mind
  • Substances
  • Social
  • Did you do something today that loaded your bones, running, jumping, sport, or standing weights?
  • Did you eat regular meals today, and cook or prepare at least one of them yourself?
  • Did you protect your skin today if you were out in the sun?

Inside it

Inside My Lifestyle Hub, one screen at a time.

Home starts with today’s check-in and your twin. From there: your plans, the library to explore, the tools, and a room of your own. Scroll, and walk through it.

  2. Today’s check-in in My Lifestyle Hub: how you are today, then a question for each pillar

    02 · Today’s check-in

    A check-in a day, one tap at a time.

How you are, then a yes-or-no question for each of the six pillars and your plans’ own check-ins. Tap an answer again to clear it. Missed a day? Answer for the six days before.

  3. A plan in My Lifestyle Hub: its PDFs to keep, and your goals in your own words

    03 · Your plans

  4. Your twin in My Lifestyle Hub: your own avatar on its pad, with numbered points linking your plans to your body

04 · Your twin and the six pillars

Your habits, on a body that looks like you.

A 3D twin shaped by your height, weight, age and sex, with your plans on the body and a page for each pillar. Nothing on it is graded, and you’re never compared with anyone.

  5. Tools for every day in My Lifestyle Hub: the Breathing Circle and the Brain Speed Challenge

    05 · Tools

    Fifteen tools, inside the app.

The Breathing Circle, the Brain Speed Challenge, Sleep Well, the Exercise Planner and more, and each plan brings the ones that suit it.

  6. The trophy cabinet in My Lifestyle Hub, with medals for check-ins kept up

    06 · Medals

A medal for turning up, not for a score.

Each check-in you keep up earns its own: bronze at five days running, silver at ten, gold at twenty. Not for finishing a plan, and not for a score.

Why now

The habits that set in your twenties tend to stay.

Bone and muscle, while they respond most

Around 90% of peak bone mass is built by about age 20, and the strength you build now is where you start from decades later.

Fitness for the long run

How fit your heart and lungs are is one of the strongest predictors of how long you’ll live, and it’s far easier to build now than from scratch later.

Habits that stick

Sleep rhythms, cooking skills and how you drink or vape tend to set in this decade. Good ones are far easier to keep than to start at forty.

Mood and connection count

About three in five mental health conditions in a lifetime have started by 25, and loneliness runs high at this age. Noticing early, and knowing who to ask, matters.

The plan

Ten foundations, scored by you.

Young Adult Health asks about ten things that are easiest to build now and pay back longest. You score each one yourself, in about ten minutes; your goals and your daily check-ins come from the answers.

  1. Peak bone massWeight-bearing and impact exercise, while bone builds fastest.
  2. StrengthResistance training as the baseline for later life, not necessarily at a gym.
  3. FitnessHeart and lungs: 150 to 300 minutes a week captures most of the benefit.
  4. A sleep rhythmSteady bed and wake times, and screens put down before them.
  5. Cooking and regular mealsA handful of reliable meals from scratch. About skill and eating regularly, never about eating less.
  6. Alcohol and drugsHow much, how often and why, while the pattern is easiest to set.
  7. NicotineStaying free of cigarettes, vapes and nicotine pouches.
  8. Mental healthNoticing persistent changes early, and knowing exactly who you’d ask for help.
  9. ConnectionReal contact, in person or by voice or video, through the moves and changes of this decade.
  10. SkinSPF 30 and shade now, and no sunbeds: the biggest regret it heads off.

How to get it

Make it yourself from Explore plans in My Lifestyle Hub, with Plus: £8.99 a month or £59.99 a yearA$11.99 a month or A$74.99 a year, after a 7-day free trial. The Health Optimisation check and plan, your twin, the six pillars and the daily check-in are free, with no card. From your practice: if yours uses GeneralPractice.AI, a plan it sends appears by itself, and when a practice that pays for it sends you one, Plus is included for up to 12 months.

What each of the ten looks at, and the research behind it, is on the plan library.

Each day

Checking in, one tap at a time.

Today’s check-in comes first on Home: how you are, a question for each of the six pillars, and your plan’s own questions, answered yes, partly or no. Miss a day and you can answer for the six days before.

  • Your bones“Did you do something today that loaded your bones, running, jumping, sport, or standing weights?”
  • Your sleep“Did you go to bed and wake up around your usual time today?”
  • Your food“Did you eat regular meals today, and cook or prepare at least one of them yourself?”
  • Yourself“Did you check in with yourself today about how you’re really doing?”

Your twin

Your habits, on a body that looks like you.

A 3D figure shaped by your height, weight, age and sex, and dressed as you choose. Lines link your plans to the body, and each of the six pillars has a page of your own numbers, with where and when each one came from. Nothing on it is graded, and you’re never compared with anyone: it’s a picture to help you along, not a medical one.

Questions

What people ask first.

QWho is it for?+
Adults in their late teens and twenties: you need to be 18 or over to sign up. It’s for building habits now that pay back later, not for treating a condition.
QDoes it cost anything?+
Young Adult Health comes with Plus: £8.99 a month or £59.99 a yearA$11.99 a month or A$74.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial. QWho sees my answers?+
You do. Your check-ins, mood and diary and your twin are shown only to you, in the app, and no practice sees the plans you make yourself.
QWill it tell me what’s wrong?+
No. It doesn’t diagnose conditions, assess your risk of disease, decide your treatment or monitor any medical condition, and it isn’t monitored. For anything about your health, contact your GP practice.
QWhat if I’m not doing well?+
The plan asks how you’re really doing and helps you know who you’d ask, but nobody watches your answers, so talk to your GP practice. If you’re ever in danger or thinking of harming yourself, don’t wait: call 999 in an emergency, or 111 and choose the mental health option.
